The Manosphere Rewired
LAYOUT DESIGN • CREATIVE DIRECTION
I had full creative control over the creative direction and layout design of a high-profile report co-produced by Equimundo and Futures Without Violence about the manopshere, a cluster of the Internet where men proliferate extremist ideas related to misogyny, hypermasculinity, and opposition to feminism. I designed the look and feel of the report and laid out the text, data visualizations, and images. The goal of this project was to organize and communicate complex research findings and keep readers engaged in a digital report.

Graphic elements
Using recognizable Internet-related imagery like the clicker and the mouse, I connected the complex findings of the report to common symbols and knowledge of the digital world.

Image treatment
For images used throughout the report, I applied a blue gradient map to match the overall color scheme of the report, and I added a grainy overlay to give the effect of a computer screen with noise, adding a subtle digital texture that speaks to the theme.
